At the 55th General Council of the Reformed Episcopal Church, Bishop Ray Sutton presented the vision that he and his predecessor, Bishop Royal Grote, had of recapturing the Gospel DNA of our Anglican Heritage within the Reformed Episcopal Church. The Vision is to plant 100 missions and churches in the REC.
For us as Reformed Episcopalians, we want to reach out while continuing to be who we are as traditional and Biblical, historic prayer book Anglicans.
The financial support of this great vision will come from the annual REC100 Lenten Offering. If every adult contributes at least $100 during Lent, REC100 can provide over $200,000 each year towards fulfilling this mission!
Our goal for this Lenten offering is $29,200. We are asking for each adult member in our congregation to contribute $100 toward this effort. Donations from Church of the Holy Communion will be applied to new church planting in the Diocese of Mid-America. You may use the envelopes in the pews (make checks payable to CHC with the subject line REC100) or pay by credit card.
Thank you for prayerfully considering contributing towards the REC 100 Lenten Offering.
