PRE-SCHOOL -- ELEMENTARY
The elementary grades (1st-5th grades), are divided into three sections

Age 3 thru Kindergarten

Grades 1-2

Grades 3-5

We use a curriculum that was put together by Fr. Walter Banek and his wife Nelda from Good Shepherd (REC) in Tyler called Alfred Rex Bible Curriculum for Children.

Sacred Music

We are adding a new aspect to our children's Sunday school program. This new aspect will be Sacred Music taught by Chris Hoyt. Chris will be teaching children 3rd -8thgrade the hymns and songs of the church. This is very important because music has an ability to form our beliefs sometimes more so than what we learn in class. These hymns and songs will help our children to continue to learn about our faith in a whole new way that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Chris will meet with the children (3rd-8th grade) in the clergy office for Sacred Music from 10:15-10:30. Then the children will go to their assigned Sunday school class for their scripture studies until 11:00.

All parents please be sure to pick your children up from Sunday School by 11:00 so that the teachers are able to make it to the 11:15 service.
